The brand new Build-a-Bear Workshop at Plaza West Covina is the latest in a series of openings at this SoCal super-regional center that boasts one of the more intriguing tenant mixes in the area.
With Macy’s, JCPenney, Sears, Best Buy and Nordstrom Rack as the anchors, Plaza West Covina combines fashion, home furnishings, electronics and value to serve an exceptionally large trade area.
“This is the main shopping area for the San Gabriel Valley, and residents can literally outfit themselves and their homes in one trip,” says Edward Coury, senior vice president and director of leasing. “Combining big boxes and fashion retail has been a less than traditional mix in some areas, but it works beautifully at Plaza West Covina.”
Located on Interstate 10, and near other major freeways, it may be one of the most easily accessed centers in the country. That has drawn other new tenants including Cinnabon, healthy drink maker Green Crush, rue21, and a remodeled Disney Store. Coming soon: Zales, Stone Oven Gourmet Sandwiches & Salads and Jump-N-Jammin.
