The ribbon was cut last month on the new two-level Center Court Atrium at Northridge Mall in Salinas, California, part of an overall renovation and modernization that has already seen JCPenney open a new, relocated store last year. In fact, the Center Court was the former Penney site! Construction also has begun on Round1, the innovative complex with of indoor activities, including bowling alleys, fully equipped karaoke booths, billiards, ping pong tables, top-of-the-line arcade games, and darts. The venue will serve beer, wine, and food. It will be located on the second level of the newly opened Center Court, accessible from the mall’s new grand entrance.
In Richmond, Virginia, Stony Point Fashion Park’s multi-million transformation and reconfiguration is now well into its second phase with another section of the common areas completed in mid-November, from Saks to Center Court. In 2018, the final phase of the common area upgrade project will be completed, from Center Court to Dillard’s. Fountains, fire pits, soft seating areas and play equipment will be placed for all our customers to enjoy. Portions of the building will be removed during this phase to improve pedestrian access between the main mall concourse and the parking lots. H&M will open this fall, joining Biggs Ltd, a home décor store that debuted earlier this year. The first phase of redevelopment, completed last year, added a dog park, new seating areas and more, part of Starwood Retail’s philosophy of creating places for guests to gather and make memories.
